Job description

Do you have experience of supporting children with needs?

Are you interested in becoming a flexible 1 to 1 tutor outside of mainstream schools?

At TP Tutors we have an exciting opportunity to help young children in Mansfield (Nottinghamshire) with intervention support. This role is ideal if you have previously worked with SEN children as a teacher, teaching assistant, one to one or through tutoring.

This intervention tutor role involves:

Plan, create and teach engaging sessions based around the child’s needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects.

Working with children with Special Education Needs who need face to face support. This could include children with ASD, SEMH or PMLD and may take place at their homes, care homes or a local area e.g., library which can be agreed with the parents/ carers.

Track progress and plan next steps.

Inspire children to achieve and keep them engaged ensuring they can access the learning.

Implement behaviour strategies to ensure children are focussed and on task.
