TP Tutors is currently recruiting compassionate and committed individuals to deliver 1:1 tuition in core subjects – Maths, English, and Science – to KS1 and KS2 pupils with special educational needs (SEN). We have immediate starts available across a range of local placements.

What the Role Involves:
  1. Planning and delivering tailored lessons in core subjects, based on individual learning needs
  2. Working 1:1 with primary-aged pupils, many with SEN such as autism, SEMH, or speech and language difficulties
  3. Delivering sessions in agreed settings – typically the pupil’s home, a care setting, or a local community space (e.g., library)
  4. Encouraging engagement and building confidence through patient, creative teaching
  5. Tracking progress and adjusting lesson content to meet evolving targets
  6. Applying positive behaviour strategies to support focus and participation

This role is ideal for those looking to develop their SEN experience in a highly rewarding environment.

Who We’re Looking For:
  1. Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a 1:1 or small group setting
  2. Confident delivering Maths, English, and/or Science at KS1 and KS2 level
  3. Able to adapt learning to suit individual needs and pace
  4. Skilled in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
  5. Organised and reflective, with the ability to track and support student progress
Requirements:
  1. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – we can support this)
  2. The right to work in the UK
  3. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
What We Offer:
  1. Start date: ASAP
  2. Competitive hourly pay: £28+ (PAYE – no umbrella fees)
  3. Local, flexible placements to suit your availability
  4. Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
  5. Access to CPD and professional development opportunities
