Job summary

Sugarman Children’s Services is recruiting SEN Teachers to provide 1:1 tuition and alternative provision for children and young people with SEND across Doncaster. This is not a classroom-based role and involves supporting learners with needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, EBSA, and EHCPs to re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.

Teaching takes place in students' homes, community settings, and occasionally online, with local travel required.

Qualifications

• QTS or PGCE with QTS (essential).
• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Ability to teach English and Maths.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition and alternative provision for children with SEND.
• Teaching takes place in learners' homes, community settings, and online as needed.
• Travel locally to learners' homes as required.
