Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream school in Middlesbrough. The role involves providing targeted support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH, with 1-2-1 and small-group duties to boost learning and engagement.

The position is long-term with both full-time and part-time options. The successful candidate will be patient, adaptable and committed to helping pupils progress in their development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN.
• Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH.
• Confidence providing 1-2-1 and small group support.
• A patient and positive approach.
• Adaptability and willingness to support pupils' individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Help pupils reach their full potential through focused learning support.
• Support learning, engagement and development in small groups and 1-2-1 settings.
• Assist teachers with planning and implementing targeted activities for SEN pupils.
