Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND in a Sussex trust of five schools. The role runs full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:00, term time only, with a friendly team and opportunities for progression.

You will work across settings, support students with SEN, assist in class and 1:1 work, and help maintain a positive learning environment while liaising with teachers and staff. Contact Bryony for details.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEN needs.
• Care, education or childcare experience desirable.
• UK eligibility to work, GCSEs in Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist students during class making sure they are on track
• Liaise with class teacher to ensure a smooth running class
• Supervision of children during their playtimes/lunch breaks
• Enabling learners to access the curriculum
• Support the pastoral needs of the learners
• Be an active part in setting the learning environment
• Supporting learners on a 1:1 basis and part of a small group in a range of activities throughout the day
• Using your interests to engage students in learning

I am currently recruiting for a teaching assistant who is dedicated and committed to providing the best guidance and support throughout the day for the school's students.

This role is needed on a full time basis. Working Monday-Friday 08:30-4:00pm. This role is term time only.

• Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• GCSE Maths and English at pass grade
