Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant for a role based in Mitcham, CR4. The position is a temporary contract, full-time, commencing September 2026 with end July 2027, and potential extension or permanent progression for the right candidate.

JOB TITLE - Primary SEN TA

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Strong SEN TA, this role is in Mitcham, CR4

The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year Key Stage 1 OR 2 experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
• SEN experience with ASD and EBD

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
