Job summary

St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, Cleator Moor is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprentice to support learning and pupil welfare.

You will work under Co-Headteachers and SENCO, providing 1:1 and small-group help, assist with resources, monitor progress and promote inclusive practice.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 15:30, with on-the-job training and safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
• Willingness to train as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice.
• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN/SEND on 1:1, small group and class-wide basis.
• Assist with lesson preparation, resources and displays.
• Encourage learning, independence and positive interactions.
• Monitor pupil progress and report concerns to staff.
• Support personal, social, emotional development and breaks.
• Undertake pupil record keeping and light administrative tasks.
• Follow school policy and training for personal care when needed.
