Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting dedicated SEN Support Teaching Assistants for long-term roles in welcoming primary and secondary schools. You will support pupils with a range of needs, including ASC, ADHD, and SEMH, in 1:1 and small-group settings.

You will assist teachers in delivering inclusive lessons and help develop students' academic, social and emotional skills, with ongoing training and consultant support. This is a permanent-feel, temporary position with potential opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
