Job summary

Shoreham Academy is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of special educational needs within classes. The role spans the school day (8:30 am – 3:00 pm) with potential for flexible hours or job share, lunch duties, and additional hours outside core time.

You will work to establish strong rapports with students and support staff to help achieve excellent outcomes. The position requires enthusiasm, commitment, and the ability to use initiative in a busy Learning

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with special educational needs (SEN).
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• Proactive, motivated, and able to use own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to students with a range of SEN.
• Support across the school as needed, including non-class duties such as lunch duties if required.
• Attend training and safeguarding modules as required.
