Riverview Institute for Teacher Education seeks an experienced SENCO support post to develop high-quality SEND provision for our students.

The post holder will work with the Year team and pastoral staff to identify needs, plan interventions, and liaise with families and external agencies.

Excellent organisational skills and strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice are essential; DBS and safeguarding experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a secondary school with students with SEN/Disabilities.
• Ability to support SEN pupils and behavioural needs.
• Excellent record keeping and communication with families.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and referrals/Assessments.

Responsabilités

• Support the Strategic SENCO to develop high standards of SEND provision.
• Identify student needs and ensure appropriate support.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral team to ensure attendance and achievement.
• Organise SEND assessments and liaise with families and outside agencies.
