Job summary

Don Valley Academy invites applications for a SEN Support Officer to join our team on a full-time, temporary basis to cover maternity leave starting November 2026. You will support the SENCO, track interventions and supervise Teaching Assistants to ensure effective support for pupils with additional needs.

Qualifications

• Supports SENCO with administrative tasks and data entry to track pupil progress.
• Manages daily deployment and performance of Teaching Assistants to support interventions.
• Delivers bespoke intervention packages to secondary pupils with SEND to remove barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for SENCO and track interventions to improve pupil progress.
• Coordinate deployment of Teaching Assistants to maximise impact across the Academy.
• Deliver targeted interventions for pupils with SEND to help realise their potential.
