Job summary

Academics in Slough is seeking a dedicated SEN Support & Intervention Assistant to join a welcoming school from September. You will support pupils with special educational needs to access learning and develop confidence in a caring environment.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, behaviour for learning, monitoring progress and close collaboration with teachers and the SEN team. Salary: £89-£95 per day, hours 8:30am-4:00pm.

Qualifications

• Supporting pupils with special educational needs to access learning
• Providing targeted 1:1 support for pupils needing extra help
• Supporting behaviour for learning and positive engagement in the classroom
• Helping pupils understand and follow teacher instructions
• Working with individuals and small groups within the SEN department
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and educational development
• Monitoring, recording and tracking pupil progress
• Working closely with teachers and the SEN team to ensure pupils receive appropriate support
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
