Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated SEN Supervisor to join a welcoming school in the Kettering area. This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Worker with a SEND background.

SEN Supervisor - Kettering

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Supervisor to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Kettering area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Cover Supervisor, or someone with a background supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, regulate emotions, and achieve their full potential within a safe and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide classroom supervision and support for pupils with SEND.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and support learning activities.
  • Assist students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement support plans.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
  • The ability to adapt learning and support strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Previous experience in a school, care, youth work, or support setting is desirable.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
