Job summary

Qualiteach Yorkshire are seeking an outstanding Specialist Teaching Assistant to support a local SEN school in Boston Spa. You will assist students with ASC, SEMH and other needs, helping them engage with learning in a supportive learning environment.

This temp-to-perm role begins in September. Prior SEN experience is advantageous, and experience with personal care is desirable. The school is accessible by car and public transport and has an excellent reputation.

Qualifications

• A range of behaviour management techniques.
• Experience working with learners with a range of needs.
• The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods.
• To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time.
• Worked with young people with special needs.
• Experience with personal care – desirable

Responsibilities

• Support students with ASC, SEMH and other needs in a SEN school.
• Assist in re-engaging learners and enabling access to learning.
• Support the class teacher in delivering tailored activities.
