Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to transform the lives of disengaged and vulnerable learners across the UK. Roles include Core Subject tutoring (Maths, English or Science) for SEND and SEMH needs, with flexible, in-person, hybrid, or remote teaching opportunities.

We welcome applicants with QTS/QTLS, 2+ years of teaching experience, enhanced DBS, and references. Join a child-centred, impact-driven team committed to delivering trauma-informed support to young people.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH.
• Qualification as a teacher with QTS/QTLS.
• Enhanced DBS check and 2+ professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online or hybrid Maths, English or Science tuition to learners with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan and report lessons and provide regular progress feedback.
• Support diverse learners in KS1–KS5 with trauma-informed approaches.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
