Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND tutors and teachers in the UK to deliver Maths, English or Science tutoring to children with SEND and SEMH needs. Roles include in-person, online/remote, and hybrid teaching with flexible hours to suit your schedule.

Candidates should have 2+ years of teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, and an Enhanced DBS (we can assist with this). We offer CPD, mentoring, a supportive team, and a referral programme as part of a child‑centred organisation committed to making a

Qualifications

• 2+ years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/SLD/ PMLD.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) required.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• Based in the UK with the right to work, including for remote/online roles.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition.
• Plan lessons and report progress with regular feedback.
• Support pupils from KS1–KS5 with trauma-informed tutoring.
• Contribute to safeguarding and maintaining a safe learning environment.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
