Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors/Teachers in the UK to deliver Maths, English, or Science tutoring to learners with SEND/SEMH needs. Roles offer in-person, hybrid, and remote work with flexible hours to fit your schedule and a child-centered mission.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, and DBS clearance. Opportunities arise through local authorities, with a focus on safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS (facilitated if needed) and 2+ professional references
  • Location: UK-based with right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
  • Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils referred by local authorities and schools with trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
  • Plan and report for lessons and provide regular progress feedback.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities
  • Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
  • Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
  • Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
  • We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
