Job Description:

Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Isle of Wight.

Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.

We aim to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN/SEND, SEMH needs, MLD, and SLD.

We seek passionate SEN/SEND tutors eager to work 1:1 with children and young people with diverse learning needs, using creative, flexible, trauma-informed approaches to improve their educational outlook.

The role:
  • Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs referred by local authorities and schools
  • Support via flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, needs-based sessions
  • Complete reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Enhanced DBS (assistance available)
  • Two professional references
  • Right to work in the UK
