Journey Education Group is seeking a Secondary Teacher to join our inclusive provision in Doncaster. The role covers Key Stage 3 and 4 with a focus on SEN support and inclusive teaching practices.

The ideal candidate holds Qualified Teacher Status, can adapt the national curriculum for diverse needs, and works collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external agencies. Start date January 2027 or as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (essential).
• Experience with children or young people in educational/support roles is advantageous.
• Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support diverse needs.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and de-escalate challenging situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
• Proficiency in IT tools/technology used in education.
• Empathy, patience, and resilience for students with challenges.
• Organised, flexible, and able to adapt to evolving student needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality (enhanced DBS required).

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, accessible lessons meeting individual needs.
• Plan and deliver targeted interventions to support progress.
• Provide clear, purposeful feedback and track progress.
• Collaborate with support staff and liaise with parents, professionals and external agencies.
