Job summary

Helix Academies Trust is seeking a Learning Support Assistant at Marple Hall School to support students with special educational needs. The role is permanent and based on 34 hours per week (8am-3.30pm), with a pro rata salary between £20,107 and £20,427.

Training will be provided, and staff may work in mainstream classes or the Resource Base. The successful candidate should be patient, calm and committed to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Support students with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
• Patient and calm approach to supporting learners.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of students.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEN/ disabilities in mainstream classes or Resource Base.
• Assist with creating a supportive learning environment and implementing individual education plans.
• Be prepared for DBS check and safeguarding procedures.
