SEN Primary Teaching Assistant Jobs – Leeds and Wakefield

Location: Leeds and Wakefield

Hours: Full time

Salary: £90- £130

Start date: ASAP

Are you an experienced or aspiring SEN Primary Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in the Leeds or Wakefield area? Protocol Education is looking for a supportive, motivated individuals to join local schools and make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

What you’ll be doing…

As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you’ll work closely with children who need extra support- whether that’s in a one-to-one role, within small groups, or a in a classroom setting. Your patience, positivity and adaptability will help pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or SEMH
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons
  • Provide high quality pastoral support and help manage classroom behaviour
  • Help create a calm, structured learning environment
  • Encourage independence and build pupil’s confidence
  • Monitor progress and celebrate small wins every day
