Job Title: SEN Primary Teacher

Salary: Up to £45,000.00 per annum plus a Welcome Bonus of £2,000*

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

About the role

We require an experienced and qualified teacher who has the ability to make a significant contribution to our school. This role is based in our Secondary Site, teaching early years/primary teacher classes consisting of pupils aged between 11 and 13, but we are happy to accept applications from candidates with QTS status, whether their experience is in Primary or Secondary Teaching.

You will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils’ achievement and ability to develop.The pupils may display some challenging behaviour due to their different needs, so staff are required to have experience.

Within this role, you will teach pupils in a fun and engaging way. You will also work with the support staff within the classroom to ensure that each pupil is getting the support they require, but also to ensure the smooth running of sessions and allow each pupil to have a positive learning environment. You will provide feedback to SLT, parents and carers.

For this role, you should:

  • Have previous experience teaching in an SEN school or extensive experience working with pupils with complex additional needs.
  • Have experience teachingand be able toplan fun and engaging sessions.
  • Have a UK QTS or QTLS – this is an essential qualification for the role

Colne Grange School is a new specialist ASD provision. We have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teacher to join our team due to growth and a new extension to our school.As part of the Hillingdon Manor group of schools and the Outcomes First Group, Colne Grange will offer day provision to pupils with Autism from the ages of 3to 11 years old.

Colne Grange will provide specialist education for c35 pupils, aged between 4-11 years. Colne Grange deploys a wide range of teaching strategies to engage and develop the progress of learners, who present with a range of learning difficulties and styles. Our pupils are taught in smaller class sizes and work towards an Equals Semi-Formal Curriculum and National Curriculum expectations where appropriate.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
