Job summary

Polaris Education - Becker School is seeking a SEND Personal Care Assistant to support pupils with ASC/SEMH needs in a Batley school. The role involves personal care, learning support and daily routines, with opportunities to shape the school environment.

Qualifications

• Good general education with numeracy and literacy.
• Understanding of child development and safeguarding requirements.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support children with personal care and learning.
• Develop personal care programmes with the school team.
• Assist with daily routines including feeding, dressing, toileting and hygiene.
• Support pupils with learning, personal care and social interaction.
• Promote inclusive practice and maintain classroom order.
• Record and report on pupils’ progress and achievements.
