Job summary

Remedy Education in Thurrock seeks an Outreach SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one outreach tuition for children and young people in Thurrock. This role offers regular 15-hour-per-week placements with flexible outreach in a supportive team, focusing on SEN, SEMH, ASD and ADHD needs.

A patient, nurturing approach and strong communication are essential for helping students build confidence and progress. Qualified teachers with QTS or tutoring status are preferred, with safeguarding checks required.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with SEN and SEMH/ASD/ADHD preferred.
• DBS clearance or safeguarding checks required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Position: Outreach Tutor (Special Educational Needs)

Contract Type: 15 hours per week per student.

Salary: £30/32 per hour

We are looking for dedicated and experienced SEN Tutors to provide one-to-one outreach tuition to children and young people in Thurrock.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tutor who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them build confidence, develop their skills and make positive progress.

We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), qualified tutor or relevant teaching experience
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Experience with challenging behaviour, SEMH, ASD, ADHD or other additional needs would be advantageous
• A patient, flexible and nurturing approach
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work independently and provide engaging one-to-one tuition
• A current DBS or willingness to undergo the appropriate safeguarding checks
