Job summary

Remedy Tutors in Thurrock is seeking a patient SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will deliver personalised support to help students access learning and progress at their own pace in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include delivering Maths and English tuition, adapting lessons for various needs, and building trusting relationships to encourage participation and progress.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach both Maths and English.
• Experience supporting students with SEN/SEND is desirable.
• Understanding of individual learning differences and barriers to education.
• Patient, adaptable and encouraging approach.
• Relevant teaching or tutoring experience is beneficial.

About the Role

Remedy Tutors is seeking a patient, compassionate and dedicated SEN Tutor to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

You will deliver personalised one-to-one tuition to students who may struggle to access mainstream education or require additional support to meet their learning goals. Students may have needs relating to autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, communication difficulties, anxiety or gaps in learning.

Your role will be to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, develop confidence and make progress at their own pace.
