Luma Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking an SEN Secondary Teacher to join a small specialist school in Wigan, working with pupils aged 11–16. This full-time, term-time role is a temp-to-perm post paying £180–£230 per day, with ASAP start.

You’ll manage a nurture group, plan personalised lessons and coordinate with support staff and the pastoral team. QTS holders and ECTs are welcome, with safeguarding checks on appointment.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; ECTs considered.
• Background working with pupils with SEMH needs in any school setting.
• Ability to adapt lessons for mixed abilities and maintain routines.
• Steady, consistent approach to behaviour management.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Aufgaben

• Plan and teach personalised lessons for a small nurture group.
• Teach secondary pupils with SEMH needs.
• Build literacy, numeracy and social skills alongside subject content.
• Run a structured classroom with clear, consistent routines.
• Direct support staff in the classroom and collaborate with pastoral team.
• Set individual targets and track progress toward them.
• Keep parents and carers informed about progress and wellbeing.
