Job summary

Supply Hive Wales in Cardiff is seeking a calm, nurturing Nurture/SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with ALN, SEN and SEMH in a specialist school setting. The role involves 1:1 support, working with small nurture groups, helping pupils regulate emotions and re-enter learning with confidence.

You will build positive relationships, de-escalate challenging behaviour and provide consistent encouragement.

Qualifications

• Calm, patient and nurturing.
• Resilient and confident when managing challenging behaviour.
• Experienced supporting SEN/ALN or SEMH needs.
• Able to build strong relationships with young people.
• Proactive and able to use their own initiative.
• Passionate about supporting pupils who need extra guidance and encouragement.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 support with individual pupils.
