Hays Education is working with an SEN Nursery in Leicester to find a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to start after the Easter break on a full-time, temporary basis. This is a term-time only position. The ideal candidate has experience supporting children with complex special educational needs and/or disabilities in an early years setting. Your new school
This SEN nursery provision in Leicester supports pupils aged between 2 and 5 years old with complex and enduring special educational needs and/or disability. Pupils benefit from the support of specialist practitioners who work hard to provide an inclusive Early Years education for SEN children from across Leicester. The school boasts a light room, spa room, soft play room, and ICT suite – all of which contribute to a holistic approach to SEN education.
Your new role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work with a team of specialist practitioners to support pupils with a range of additional needs to access this school's bespoke curriculum. Hays Teaching Assistants make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with diverse care needs, life experiences, and personalities, making every day different. You’ll benefit from ongoing support from your Hays consultant, Hollie, who will be there for you throughout this placement and beyond.
What you need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you’ll have at least 1 year’s experience working with SEN children aged between 2 and 5 years old. You should be proactive and adaptable to working with children with a range of complex educational and physical needs. You’ll be prepared to work full-time on a term-time basis. Most importantly, you should be confident to integrate into a new school environment and build relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents quickly.
