Job summary

Principal Education is seeking hardworking and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in special needs schools and resourced provisions across Barking and Dagenham and the wider East London area.

As an LSA you will support children and young people with EHCPs, in 1:1 or small groups, in settings including autism, speech and language needs, and complex or severe learning difficulties alongside mainstream schools with resourced SEN units.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
• Patience, empathy, composure and diligence.
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS with Update Service.
• Based in London or within a commutable distance.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with EHCPs 1:1 or in small groups.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and SENCOs to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to ongoing pupil progress and learning activities.
• Potential long-term roles leading to permanent positions.
