Job summary

Five Education is recruiting a SEN Learning Support Partner to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with trauma and ASC needs at a primary school in South Bristol. The role emphasizes trauma‑informed practice, emotional regulation, and building strong relationships to support learning.

Qualifications

• Calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
• Understanding of trauma‑informed practice or willingness to learn.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
• Resilient and adaptable in a dynamic classroom environment.
• Experience working with SEN, ASC, or children with additional emotional needs is desirable but not essential.
• Relevant TA qualifications (Level 2/3) are beneficial.

Five Education is working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in South Bristol to recruit a SEN Learning Support Partner. This role involves providing 1:1 support for a pupil whose needs stem from trauma and present with ASC characteristics. The school is dedicated to creating a nurturing, trauma‑informed environment where every child feels safe, understood, and able to succeed.

• Providing consistent 1:1 support tailored to the child's individual needs.
• Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management using a trauma‑informed approach.

• Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years).
• Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
