Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a vibrant West London secondary school. This role is full-time with an ASAP start, providing 1:1 and small-group support, and assisting pupils with SEN to help them reach their potential.

You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, manage behaviour, and foster positive student engagement throughout the school day. A patient and proactive team player will thrive in this supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
• Experience supporting students with additional needs.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to students.
• Supporting pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Helping to manage behaviour and promote positive engagement in learning.
• Supporting students both academically and socially throughout the school day.
• Building positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
