Job summary

Vision for Education are recruiting a Trainee Learning Support Assistant to work across SEN schools in Bridgwater, Somerset. The role offers full-time or part-time hours, with the National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP) online training included after a successful interview.

Salary is £14.24 per hour PAYE, with training and development opportunities. Start date is September 2026, and roles include 1:1 and small-group support, literacy and numeracy assistance, and creating an inclusive

Qualifications

• NTAP online training on safeguarding and understanding SEN
• Hands-on classroom experience after interview
• Development of teaching assistant skills in SEN settings

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Support students with SEND, SEMH, autism and other learning needs
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Help pupils with literacy, numeracy and emotional regulation
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment
