Job summary

Turves Green Boys' School is seeking a term-time Learning Support Assistant to help pupils access learning and participate in care and support programmes. You will work under teachers and school leaders, supporting pupils with SEN and helping manage the classroom to foster positive behaviour and engagement.

The role emphasises strong rapport and communication with pupils, with the post starting as soon as possible. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
• A relevant qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
• Experience with SEN pupils is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of teachers and school leaders.
• Carry out work, care and support programmes.
• Enable pupils to access learning.
• Assist teachers in managing pupils and the classroom.
