Job summary

Turves Green Boys' School is seeking a term-time Learning Support Assistant to help pupils access learning and participate in care and support programmes. You will work under teachers and school leaders, supporting pupils with SEN and helping manage the classroom to foster positive behaviour and engagement.

The role emphasises strong rapport and communication with pupils, with the post starting as soon as possible. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
• A relevant qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
• Experience with SEN pupils is beneficial.

Job description

This term-time learning support assistant post at Turves Green Boys' School covers 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday. The role is to help pupils access learning, carrying out care and support programmes under the direction of teachers and leaders, and helping teachers manage behaviour and the classroom. It centres on working with pupils with special educational needs, so rapport and communication matter as much as academic background. Visa sponsorship is not available and the post starts as soon as possible.
