Job summary

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support primary-aged pupils with additional learning needs in schools across East London. We are looking for supportive and adaptable candidates who can help children access learning, develop essential skills and feel supported throughout the school day.

Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs is desirable, although we welcome applications from candidates with relevant transferable

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in educational or childcare settings.
• Desirable experience assisting pupils with additional needs.
• Calm, patient and understanding approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group learning support to primary pupils.
• Help pupils access classroom activities and learning materials.
• Support development of communication, social and independent learning skills.
• Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to meet pupils' needs.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
