Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN setting in Fareham. You will support pupils with additional needs, helping them gain confidence and achieve learning goals while enjoying coming to school.

Working alongside experienced teachers, you’ll adapt activities, promote independence, and contribute to a calm classroom. This is a long-term role with potential for permanent employment and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually and in small groups during lessons.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence and engagement.
• Assist with literacy, numeracy and intervention sessions.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and SEND professionals.
• Help create a calm, inclusive and positive classroom environment.
• Promote safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times.
