Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist complex needs setting in Oldbury. The role supports pupils with SEN, assisting with mobility and personal care where needed, and helping students re-engage with education.

This full-time, temp-to-perm position runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with a pay rate of GBP95.89 - GBP108.21 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications. Start date: October 2026, potentially sooner.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance, SEN, Early Years, or Health & Social Care
• Previous SEN experience
• Mobility and personal care support ability
• Caring, patient and nurturing approach
• Experience in educational, care or support environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service
• Two professional references

Responsibilities

• Support children with additional needs throughout their educational journey
• Provide support, care and encouragement during learning
• Assist pupils with mobility and personal care when required
• Collaborate with staff to support SEN pupils
