Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist complex needs setting in Oldbury. This is a rewarding role to help children with additional needs through tailored support and encouragement.

The role is full-time, with a temp-to-perm contract and hours 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting October 2026 or sooner, in a rewarding educational setting.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance, SEN, Early Years, or Health & Social Care.
• Previous SEN experience, either professionally or personally.
• Ability to assist pupils with mobility and personal care requirements where necessary.
• Caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with additional needs to re-engage with education.
• Assist with daily learning activities and personal care where required.
• Support independence and life skills development in pupils.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and therapy teams to implement plans.

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist complex needs setting in Oldbury. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs by providing support, care, and encouragement throughout their educational journey.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance, Early Years, Health & Social Care, or a related field, and will be passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This full‑time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Students within the setting are supported to re‑engage with education, develop independence and life skills, and receive tailored emotional and learning support. Previous experience supporting individuals with PMLD, SLD, ASD, complex needs, or similar SEN requirements would be highly beneficial.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

• Have the Right to Work in the UK
