Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for Wirral Met College in the Skills for Life department. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional needs and help them access learning and college life.

We are seeking patient, compassionate team players with excellent communication skills who can follow individual plans, support personal care when needed and work closely with teachers and other professionals to promote independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people or adults with additional needs or complex needs.
• Experience in education, care, SEN or support setting is desirable.
• Ability to provide personal care and support daily living needs.
• Patient, compassionate and positive approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
• Experience in FE, SEN school, specialist college, care or support environment would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students within the Skills for Life department.
• Support students with learning difficulties, disabilities and complex needs.
• Assist students to access learning, activities and wider college environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence and essential life skills.
• Provide support with communication, social interaction and emotional wellbeing.
