Job summary

Teach Now is seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant at a Brent-based school. In this role you will work with teachers to help pupils access the curriculum through in-class, one-to-one and small-group support, building confidence and independence.

The position is full-time temporary work located in London, starting 18 November 2026, with hours 8:30am–3:30pm, term time only. Prior experience with children and strong communication with staff are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in education or a support setting.
• Confidence communicating with pupils and teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in lessons as a SEN Learning Support Assistant, helping them access the curriculum.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support tailored to pupils learning needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
• Help teachers prepare classroom activities and learning resources.
• Support pupils social, emotional and academic development.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
