Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant in Leeds to support students with SEND in a mainstream school. The role is long-term and full-time for the full academic year, with placements in either primary or secondary settings.

Requirements include a UK bachelor’s degree, strong understanding of English, Maths, and Science, plus experience supporting young people or SEND. An aspiration to train as a teacher is desirable.

Qualifications

• UK Bachelor's degree is required.
• Strong understanding of core subjects (English, Maths, Science).
• Experience supporting young people through tutoring, mentoring, youth work or similar.
• Experience working with students with SEND is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Long term, full-time role in the same school for the full academic year.
• Support in either a primary or secondary mainstream school.
• Assist pupils with ASD, PMLD, ADHD.
• Leeds location and collaboration with excellent schools and trusts.
