Job summary

Academics Ltd in Gloucestershire is seeking a dedicated Mentor to support learners with special educational needs in a specialist setting in Tewkesbury. You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, during term time, starting ASAP.

This role focuses on tailored 1-1 and small-group support to help pupils access personalised learning plans. You will be part of a skilled team, promoting a safe, encouraging environment and ensuring safeguarding policies are followed.

• Help with creating a safe and encouraging environment to help the learners you are supporting thrive.
• Assisting with learning and specific interventions to support progress.
• Monitoring achievements and helping students reach their full potential.
• Ensuring safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
• Mentor learners so that they are able to express themselves in a safe and controlled way.

Key Qualities Academics is seeking:

• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
• A genuine passion for helping children with SEN succeed.
• Experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
• A willingness to learn and take on training opportunities.
• An enhanced DBS check (Or willingness to apply for one).

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
