Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a SEN Intervention lead to support pupils 1-1 or in small groups in the Leeds and surrounding areas. The role focuses on behaviour management, inclusion, and tailored learning to meet diverse SEN needs.

You will collaborate with SLT, SENDCO and teachers, adapt lessons, and monitor pupil progress while ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed. Prior experience desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Strong behaviour management skills across a range of ages.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners in small groups or 1-1.
• Excellent communication with pupils, staff and parents.
• Adapt learning to meet diverse needs and age ranges.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies to manage and de‑escalate challenging behaviour.
• Work closely with SLT, SENDCO and teachers.
• Assist with academic work to keep pupils engaged.
• Record and report on pupil progress, behaviours, interventions and safeguarding concerns.
