Job summary

Academics in Slough is seeking an EHCP Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs. A Psychology graduate will deliver 1:1 and small-group support aligned to EHCP targets, helping confidence, independence and participation in learning.

You will work with teachers and SEN staff to monitor progress, wellbeing and engagement, building strong relationships with pupils and colleagues. The role is full-time, starting in September, with daily pay in the £93–£110 range.

Qualifications

• Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience in SEN
• Experience or interest in supporting students with EHCP targets
• Ability to communicate clearly with students, teachers and families
• Willingness to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to EHCP targets
• Help students develop confidence, independence, and participation in learning
• Support academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to ensure EHCP-aligned support
• Observe and monitor students' progress, wellbeing, and engagement
