Job description

Help Create Gloriously Ordinary Lives – and Build an Extraordinary Career

At MacIntyre, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a gloriously ordinary life—filled with choice, independence, relationships, purpose and belonging. If you're looking for a career where you can make a genuine difference while developing your own skills and future, we'd love to hear from you.

Could You Inspire the Next Generation?

As an Education Mentor with MacIntyre No Limits, you'll support young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to develop the confidence, skills and independence they need for adult life. This is far more than a teaching role – you'll be helping people discover their strengths, overcome barriers and achieve goals that matter to them.

Every day is different. Whether you're supporting someone to travel independently, manage their money, access community facilities, build social connections or work towards employment aspirations, you'll be helping create opportunities that lead to greater independence and fulfilment.

No Experience? No Problem.

We recruit for values, passion and potential. If you share our belief that every person should be able to live the life they choose, we'll provide all the training, coaching and support you need to succeed.

All you need is:

  • A full UK manual driving licence
  • GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to supporting others to achieve their goals
Grow Your Career with MacIntyre

At MacIntyre, we're committed to helping our colleagues thrive. From comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development to nationally recognised qualifications and progression opportunities, we'll support you to build a rewarding long-term career.

Many of our leaders started in frontline roles. Whether you're taking your first steps into education and support or looking to develop your existing experience, you'll be joining an organisation that invests in people and recognises talent.

About the Role

This is a term‑time position, working 39 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–3:30pm ( 5 days a week).

You'll work both from our base at Abingdon College and within local communities, delivering creative, personalised learning that reflects each student's interests, aspirations and goals.

We support young people aged 16–25 with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD and communication differences. By building strong, trusting relationships, you'll help create learning experiences that are meaningful, engaging and centred around what matters most to each individual.

Why Join MacIntyre No Limits?

You'll become part of a supportive, ambitious and values-driven team that believes in possibility, not limitation. Together, we celebrate achievements, champion individuality and support young people to build the skills, confidence and independence they need for the future.

If you're looking for a role where you can see the impact of your work every day, while developing a rewarding career of your own, we'd love to hear from you.
