Vision for Education is seeking Cover Supervisors to work in SEN schools across the Dudley area. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain classroom experience while supporting young people with additional needs. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, help create an inclusive learning environment, and work closely with school staff to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs.
• Qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and ability to quickly build rapport with students.
• Ability to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

Responsabilités

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Manage the classroom effectively, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their learning.
• Encourage and support students with a range of Special Educational Needs.
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
• Use positive behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe and productive classroom.
• Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Work closely with teaching staff and school leaders, providing clear feedback on lessons and student progress.
• Build positive relationships with staff, students, and the wider school community.
