Job summary

Senovo is seeking a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant in Barking and Dagenham to support pupils with complex learning, communication and sensory needs.

The role involves supporting accessible lessons, following individualized plans, and working with teachers, therapists and care staff. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and complete Senovo’s safeguarding and compliance process, including references and an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
• A calm, reliable approach and confident safeguarding awareness.
• QTS is not required for this classroom-support role.

Responsibilities

• Support accessible lessons, communication routines and sensory activities.
• Follow individual support plans and agreed regulation strategies.
• Encourage participation while respecting each pupil’s pace and choices.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and care staff.
