Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Skelmersdale is seeking Classroom Support Assistants to work day-to-day across SEN and SEMH schools. You will support pupils in classrooms, assist teachers, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Ideal candidates have experience with children or vulnerable groups, a calm, patient and resilient personality, and strong communication skills. Flexible assignments and ongoing consultant support are offered with competitive daily rates.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
• Calm, patient, and resilient personality.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in education, care, youth work, sports coaching, support work or similar is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs within the classroom.
• Assisting teachers with delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Building positive relationships with students to encourage learning and development.
• Managing challenging behaviours using a calm and nurturing approach.
• Providing one-to-one and small group support where required.
• Helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
