Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in SEN/SEMH/Alternative Provision or mainstream settings.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership.
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support students with SEN and SEMH needs across environments.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Manage challenging behaviour using restorative and positive strategies.
• Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
• Build strong relationships with students to promote confidence and achievement.
