Job summary

Polaris Education - SEN Class Teacher at Dunsley Hall School, Kinver, Stourbridge is a full-time, term-time position. You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, meeting the complex SEMH needs of pupils aged 5–18, and work with a supportive school team.

The role requires QTS, a degree, and previous teaching experience, with a focus on behaviour management and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong basic education to degree level.
• Previous successful teaching experience.
• Experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an educational setting.
• Experience with behaviour management techniques.
• Committed to professional development and willing to learn.
• Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check prior to commencing work.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum while meeting the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
• Report on pupils' progress and concerns, liaising with school staff to ensure needs are met.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and drive positive learning outcomes.
